Sightings of Mystery Cats occur frequently. This last week saw continued activity around Devil’s Lake, North Dakota (apparently tan-colored) and in the Lambton area of Ontario (melanistic). Kangaroo Kryptid Too?
If the reportedly casual appearance of a reddish orangutan seen in trees in Baker County (see more on the first reports and the update) wasn’t enough excitement in Florida, now there are reports of another kind of cryptid: a kangaroo. No Mystery In These Photos
Over the last two days, I’ve been getting inquiries about the identification of two objects in some recent photographs. One supposedly “cryptid” that has been shown to me is this animal (below) being featured in the Russian media. Said to be a “Prehistoric Fish,” it reportedly was “found in Russia, during construction near an underground river in Chelyabinsk city. “Bigfooters” Know-It-Alls During Ape Investigations
The unfolding story of the sightings and examination of “orangutan sightings” in Florida has taken a new twist. Apparently, at least one self-proclaimed “Bigfoot investigator” from an unidentified “Bigfoot research group” is messing with the local authorities in Florida. I’ve never found it an effective forensic interviewing technique to use terms like “Bigfoot” with local wildlife or law enforcement officers, let along eyewitnesses, in terms of gathering primary information.
