Many people vacationing in Maine may enjoy the Yarmouth Clam Festival (mascot is pictured above) this coming weekend. Others will be having fun elsewhere in Vacationland. After all, read this forecast for the next few days for coastal Maine:
Saturday: Mostly sunny. Highs in the mid 70s. West winds around 10 mph.
Sunday: Partly sunny. Highs in the mid 70s.
Sunday Night And Monday: Partly cloudy. Lows in the upper 50s. Highs in the upper 70s.
Tuesday: Partly sunny. Highs in the upper 70s.
Tuesday Night: Mostly cloudy in the evening … then becoming partly cloudy. Lows around 60.
Wednesday: Sunny. Highs in the lower 80s.
Except for the cooling nights, it sounds like Hawaii or something.
Anyway, for those that want to hear talks or ask questions about Bigfoot and other cryptids, I’ll be at the following upcoming events:
Saturday, July 21 and Sunday, July 22, 2007, “Bigfoot and Beyond,” Paranormal Faire, Fort Knox State Historic Site, Prospect, Maine. There is a minor charity donation to this event ($3 for adults and $1 for children) for the preservation of the site. See more info here and here.
Tuesday, July 24, 2007, “Searching for Bigfoot,” 1:00-2:00 PM, Curtis Memorial Library, Brunswick, Maine. This free program, initially for teens, has been opened to all adults.
Other upcoming slide-lectures:
Saturday, September 1 and Sunday, September 2, 2007, “Bigfoot Matters,” Monster Weekend, Centre for Life (science center), Newcastle, United Kingdom. For more information (although it has not been updated to include me yet), see here.
Saturday, October 13, 2007, “The Dover Demon,” 6:00 PM, Mass Monster Mash, Hibernian Hall, Watertown, Massachusetts. Watch for Mass Monster Mash in 2008 for another appearance.
Saturday, December 1, 2007, “Introduction to Cryptozoology,” Mythic Creatures, American Museum of Natural History, New York City, New York.
Meanwhile, look for a Monster Halloween issue of TAPS Magazine (see ad on this page) in September-October, 2007. My list of “The Top Twenty Scariest CryptoCreatures” will appear in that issue. I’ll be blogging soon after the subjects of my columns in recent that magazine.

I have more dates that are opening for talks. I am anxious to speak throughout the world now that both of my no-longer-young sons are grown up and away at colleges, starting in the fall of 2007.
Do you want me to speak at your conference, museum, science center, college, or to your group? Please contact me with your speaking engagement requirements by clicking here.
An update on Texas: I will not be at the Texas conference this year, so I apologize to those of you who planned to come to Jefferson to see me. Apparently, the new group in charge needed a sponsorship to bring me there this year, a new wrinkle in the move to a committee taking over the planning of that Texas Bigfoot Research conference.
