Strike the Sasquatch
A mascot inhabiting the Baseball Cryptozoo, with an identity from cryptozoology and hominology, gets a new name. The Northwest Arkansas Naturals announced earlier this month that the name of their furry, baseball-loving Sasquatch will hereby be known as “Strike.” Several hundred entries were submitted in the team’s “Name the Mascot” contest in January 2008. After the contest was completed, Naturals’ staff members selected from the top-five most frequent names submitted along with five other “wild-card” entries. Tanner Winn, from Happy Hollow Elementary School in Fayetteville, Arkansas, was the lone child who submitted the name Strike. Seven-year old Tanner will receive [...]
Molester Blames Bigfoot
In one famous case, a man who said he was hunting Bigfoot killed a park ranger. Some individuals have died of exposure in wild locations while looking for Bigfoot, and a few have shot up livestock or people, telling authorities they thought they were aiming at Bigfoot. Humans will be humans. But when they use Bigfoot to justify their acts, to me, it goes beyond the limits of my tolerance. Now comes this awful story out of Virginia of a man convicted of molesting children, who says he did it and attributes his start to Bigfoot. I may be open-minded [...]

Bigfoot & Dranginis in the Classroom
Bigfooter William Dranginis of Manassas, Virginia, shares the following experience about his time using Bigfoot in the classroom: I was contacted by a local Science teacher a couple years ago and asked to come to her class and speak to them about the Bigfoot creatures and how one goes about researching a creature that the scientific community says does not exist. We discussed scientific methodology and how some Bigfoot researchers use this methodology in our research. We also discussed equipment researcher’s use in their quest, I even brought down the Bigfoot Research vehicle and allowed them to operate the thermal [...]
Best & Bottom Bigfoot Flicks
David Coleman (above, no relation) is one of the founders of BijouFlix and author of the novel, Ancient Lake. Today, he is my guest blogger. +++++++ As a distributor (shameless plug!) of Bigfoot movies, I am biased. But as a lover of Bigfoot films, I can’t help but feel the Best & Worst List is something I simply have to ‘wade’ into however deep the ‘swamp waters’ may be! TOP 3 BIGFOOT FILMS (with apologies to David Letterman minus two!) 3. THE ABOMINABLE SNOWMAN OF THE HIMILAYAS — Terrific photography (rent the Anchor Bay widescreen version if you’ve never seen [...]
Yucatan Gorillas
French cryptozoologist Michel Raynal writes: “You may remember that in the Ameranthropoid saga, there is a frequent mention of gorilla-like statues found in Yucatan. Montandon alluded to these statues in 1929, and published an article with photographs in 1931.” Raynal shares these with Cryptomundo: Link to document. Gorilla-like statues in Yucatan
Hunt TV Bigfoot (?) Video
What do you think? Clear video of a Sasquatch caught for the “Easton Bowhunting TV with Fred Eichler” program? Or an elaborate publicity stunt with a very good serious-sounding actor? This issues from Hunt TV. Apparently, this video shows nine frames of a Bigfoot or a fake Bigfoot caught on their “stealth cam.” Where? When? Humm? Is this a reality television network trying for a ratings hike?
