Thylacine or Mangy Fox?

What could be the source of the new sightings of striped mystery animals, detailed below? When is a striped mystery animal seen in Australia not automatically tied to the sightings of Thylacines? Apparently, it was bound to happen in this Year of Mange. You will note in this article the code word “mystery.” But you will not find anything about the Thylacine, by name, in the following article. MonsterQuest: Mystery Cats

The program took on mangy dogs last week, so tonight it is about the phantom felines. Will the Mystery Cats be more exciting than the Mystery Canids? Will the words Panthera atrox come from the lips of anyone on this program? Will the black dead felid carcass turn out to be only a domestic cat’s, thus mirroring last week’s program? Will the viewers begin to figure out that one reason there are so many animal mysteries in Minnesota is because that’s where the film production company is located? It’s time for another “MonsterQuest.” Lions in the Suburbs – Attacks by [...]

South China Tiger Update: It’s A Fake

The controversy over the authenticity photographs of the believed-to-be-extinct wild South China Tiger seemed to have come to an end on Friday when a netizen posted online what he claimed was a “convincing proof” that the pictures are fakes – a New Year picture of a tiger that hangs on the wall of his home. The man, named “Panzhihua-Xydz,” said: “It’s the same picture. Even the stripes are identical.” He left an online message that he bought the picture last year, but did not specify the date. The discovery has encouraged skeptics who have always believed the pictures were a [...]

Devil’s Lake and Black Mystery Cats Sighted

Sightings of Mystery Cats occur frequently. This last week saw continued activity around Devil’s Lake, North Dakota (apparently tan-colored) and in the Lambton area of Ontario (melanistic). The road out to the Cove, Lakeside Restaurant and Woodland Resort was deserted on Wednesday afternoon [November 14, 2007], no mountain lions in sight. Mary Jane Stubbe of Devils Lake was returning to her home near The Cove Lakeside Restaurant recently when she spotted a mountain lion, or a cougar as some call it. She claims to have seen the reclusive animal at the Cove road about a half-mile from Highway 19 close [...]
