What and where are your favorite cryptozoology and Bigfoot museums throughout the world? Ely Footage Removed
The Ely Sasquatch Videoes (two original segments and the “forgotten” footage just discovered) have been removed by Richard Sade from the internet. While the BFRO was involved in assisting with placing a copyright on the video and enlarging the first segment, they were not responsible for withdrawing it, they exclusively tell Cryptomundo this evening. Head of Quagga Project Dies
The founder of the Quagga Project, South African taxidermist Reinhold E. Rau has died. Rau, who spent thirty years attempting to breed back into existence the quagga, an extinct zebra and nearly achieved it, died last month at his home in South Africa. Rau was born on February 7, 1932, and died on 12 February 12, 2006. Reinhold E. Johor Tracks Being Destroyed
Breaking news from Malaysia is hitting the wires today that local authories are bulldozing and destroying physical evidence of the Johor Bigfoot. Cryptozoologists and hominologists are outraged. Our message to Malaysia: Stop the destruction! With all the interest in the new Ely Sasquatch Video, it seems like a good moment to mention the time-space links to Red Lake, Minnesota. Both locations are in northern Minnesota, just south of the Canadian border. Ely is 200 miles due east of Red Lake. Vance’s First Article
Vance Orchard passed away March 7, 2006, in Walla Walla, Washington, ending a wonderful life of Bigfoot searching and reporting. Discussed here was Vance’s personal journey and what he appreciated from his quest. Vance also mentioned, in talks with me, a 1966 incident that drew him into the hunt for Bigfoot. Due to that incident, which he wrote about and was picked up by the Associated Press, Vance received a visit from Roger Patterson. Ely Sasquatch Video
An intriguing new video taken in Ely, Minnesota, in January 2006, by a person named Richard Sade has surfaced. The footage is of what Sade, at one point, calls the “Ely Bigfoot.” In another posting, Sade terms this the “Sasquatch Video.” I will call it simply the “Ely Sasquatch Video.” There is a regular version to view here. Malayasian Media Misinformation
The Malaysian newspaper, The New Strait Times has done a relatively good job of reporting on the "Malaysian Bigfoot" story, avoiding the sandtraps that exist in the usual media coverage you often read on such events.
