The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (a/k/a Mummy 3) is an upcoming American motion picture directed by Rob Cohen that follows in the wake of The Mummy and The Mummy Returns. M3 is slated for release on August 1, 2008. As I have noted here before, one scene will be of a battle with the “Army of the Yeti.” An extremely brief hint of the Yeti can be seen here. Too Much Fooling
My brief editorial in the wake of this year’s April Fool’s Day is that there was entirely too much fooling around. None of the jokes were overly interesting or even intelligent. Most of the ones I read were downright stupid. Perhaps, a random few (e.g. the “Happy Valley Horror”?) were marginally funny. Morrill had previously pleaded guilty to 20 charges stemming from his efforts to solicit 13-year-old boys over the Internet and blamed it all on a molestation he alleged he had suffered by a Bigfoot. Ten years after the last “X-Files” movie hit theaters, the team behind the hit sci-franchise is tossing out some tidbits about the sequel, currently scheduled for release on July 25, 2008. The film, which has not yet been named, will mark the return of David Duchovny as Mulder and Gillian Anderson as Scully, two FBI agents who investigate the paranormal. Nick Redfern alerts me to the fact a character actor of some note, Brian Wilde, 80, died on March 20, 2008. Like Nick, I recall Wilde for his role of Rand Hobart in the classic 1957 UK movie Night of the Demon (Curse of the Demon in the USA).
