On May 19, 2008, a press release entitled “Official Statement – Demise of the American Bigfoot Society” was issued. Here it is: It is with sadness in my heart that I announce the closing of the doors of the American Bigfoot Society. Today, I received a communication from ABS Chairman Sean Forker [above] that the decision was made to cease operations of the organization effective immediately. It is times like these that makes me often think why such an organization, with such dedicated individuals, fails. The answer is simple, dedication to this field is often in conflict with our family [...]
Skoka’s Yeti Gets UK Greenlight
While we’ve seen other models of Yeti, it appears Skoda has settled on one for the United Kingdom. Can America be far behind? Will Yetis haunt the streets of the USA soon? Will any of us be able to afford gasoline by the time they appear? Well, if smaller is better, then the littlest Yeti may be the answer. Shall we begin to call it “Teh-lma,” after the Sherpa word for “small Yeti”? Skoda’s junior 4×4, the Yeti, is going to make production, Autocar has learned. The Czech car-maker will develop the new small 4×4, due on sale in mid-2009, [...]
First Panda Lady Has Died
Joined by her husband, Jack (left), and brother-in-law Quentin Young is Adelaide “Su-Lin” Young. Photo courtesy of her family. Forget about the fictional “Indiana Jones,” or even the real “Zoology Jones,” for a minute. Recall, please, that women were part of the early exploration adventures too! Ruth Harkness is often remembered as the first woman to have found the giant panda. But why was that first cub named Su-Lin? Here is the rest of the story. After Ruth Harkness’ husband William died as he set out to find the first live giant pandas, she turned to a man only identified [...]
M. K. Davis: Bigfoot Has Ponytail
Bigfooter Henry May, who attended Don Keating’s Ohio Bigfoot conference on Saturday, May 17th, summarized what various speakers said there. Below is what May relates as being the core of M. K. Davis’ presentation. This excerpt is part of the summary on the Davis talk that exists within a larger Bigfoot blog entry containing overviews of all the presentations. It is presented here, per fair use, for inquiring commentary. M.K. Davis M.K…..began by showing a panoramic view of the [Patterson-Gimlin] film, and moved on to an artifact which appeared to be a braid which shakes with the head. He says [...]
Current Crazy Croc Encounter
Chad Arment has passed along updates on a 2 to 3 ft long crocodilian being sighted and photographed in Hickory Lake, North Carolina. Seen for a week now (since Mother’s Day, May 11, 2008), it remains uncaught. Eyewitnesses thought it was an alligator, but official speculation, at first, said it was a caiman. N.C. Department of Wildlife Agent Michael Juhan was quoted by the media saying as much. “It may have been a caiman, which is not unusual for people to have as an exotic pet before releasing it into the wild,” Juhan said. While caimans are not native to [...]
The Mummy’s Yeti
From the new (third) Mummy movie, a first glimpse of their version of the Yeti. It’s white, needless to say. Thanks for the screen capture to Jason Pritchett.

News Archive > 2006 > Nov > 26 Famous piece of film footage that is considered to be the number one evidence for the existance of Bigfoot, has had its subject identified to be a human being. New Jellyfish Species Discovered In Aquarium
An encounter between a large jellyfish and a human diver off the coast of New Zealand makes for an interesting souvenir. But one woman with a gift for discoveries only had to go as far as her neighborhood aquarium to find a new species of jellyfish. Marine scientists in north Queensland have discovered a new species of jellyfish, right under their noses. It looks like snot, it’s the size of a grain of rice, and it’s taking the marine science world by storm. Dr. Lisa Gershwin says the tiny creature, which has yet to be named, was found in a [...]
Not Lizard Man
DNA testing has shown an attack on a family van some blamed on the legendary Lizard Man appears to have been actually done by a domestic dog. Something chewed up the front fender of Bob and Dixie Rawson’s van in February 2008. Bite marks were left on the wheel wells and blood was found on the vehicle. The Item of Sumter reported that a veterinary lab in California tested the blood and found it came from a dog. But Bob Rawson isn’t sure, saying it would have to be one big dog. Lee County Sheriff E.J. Melvin isn’t convinced either. [...]
