Hopefully a new study being published in December 2009 will be the final nail in the coffin of all those arguments attempting to debunk the Hobbits, Homo floresiensis, and ignore the reality that a population of very small hominoids lived concurrently with Homo sapiens. Stories of the “little people” have some basis in fact. Period. The male National Geographic painting of the first Homo foresiensis find, compared to Richard Klyver’s sketch of the Flores woman. The first fossil discovery of Homo floresiensis was of a female, not a male, please note. “The discovery that Homo floresiensis survived until so very [...]

Maine Office of Tourism Features Cryptozoology
A good overview of the International Cryptozoology Museum (located at the back of the Green Hand Bookshop) was posted today on the Featured Stories page of the Maine Office of Tourism website. The ICM appreciates, acknowledges, and gives full credit to the Maine Office of Tourism for seeking us out, obtaining the museum information and posting it online for future visitors. They did this without any approach from the museum, and we find this encouraging in terms of our efforts to elevate the public educational mission of the museum, as a gateway to adventure and scientific exploration for tourists, travelers, [...]
Identify The Mystery Tracks
What made the following mystery tracks? These newly found prints measured approximately 8 inches long/4 inches wide and appeared to have only three toes. The individual finding them was quite startled and rain set in before he could get a cast of some sort. But he did take these three photos. The prints appeared overnight, in construction work near a new backyard patio. For the time being, I am going to leave out the location, and throw the floor open to guesses as to what animal made the tracks (one clear and one partial are visible).
Yeti Hair Sample
Joshua Gates (R) displaying alleged footprint of Yeti. For those who missed my earlier posting, during the hectic Grand Opening time frame, concerning the “Destination Truth” Yeti hair sample, below is the followup finding, and directly below is the prequel video moment from 2008. The analysis reportedly came back as indicating “an unknown DNA sequence.” What needs to occur, of course, is for the formal findings to be published in a scientific journal, and all the methodology and safeguards revealed and refereed, so this can be seen as worthy evidence. As opposed to this moment merely being discussed only online, [...]
