The story of the "Bigfoot" in the Endau-Rompin National Park, Malaysia, is becoming more complex. It seems like the time is ripe to sort out the media’s reports that the locals are seeing three types of hairy hominoids. According to the Bernama news service, on February 20, 2006, accounts surfaced that the locals, the Orang Asli, living along the Johor-Pahang border, claimed they have seen a variety of different-sized "Bigfoot" in the area. The Ray Wallace Debate – Part III
Okay, today, less words and more photographs, per your requests. Some facts: Ray Wallace produced fake imprints of Bigfoot tracks that generally followed a routine pattern. These items were revealed by various relatives after Wallace died in 2002. The following are two sets of the ones most often photographed. Both photographs © 2002 Dave Rubert. Used with permission. Facts: The Ray Wallace fakes do NOT match the Jerry Crew October 1958 foot cast that began the use of the word “Bigfoot” in a more widespread fashion, nor do they match the Bluff Creek filmsite prints from 1967, one of which [...]
Behind the Illinois Bigfoot Flap
Am I surprised to hear there is news of Bigfoot reports coming out of Illinois? Of course not. Illinois was my stomping grounds from 1947-1975, and the area has a long history of encounters. What is surprising is who has shown up to use a relatively recent sighting to get more media attention. Tom Biscardi is back. The notorious 1970s Bigfoot trickster and Ivan Marx associate, who attempted to pull off the “send in your money and see the Bigfoot I’ve captured” trickery on Coast to Coast AM with George Noory, may be in a neighborhood near you. Beware. Rapidly [...]
The Ray Wallace Debate – Part II
Click image for full-size version Ray Wallace make fakes in a wide variety of configurations. Part of the “Toledo Collection” photographed in the 1980s by Ron Schaffner. Used by permission. How the Wallace family and friends pulled off their few series of faking events is slowly beginning to be understood. For example, the long stride of the regularly paced “Bigfoot” prints found in fine dust on logging roads linked to Wallace were reported by the hoaxers to be achieved by fakes loosely strapped on the bottom of boots as the wearer was pulled behind a truck, holding onto a rope. [...]

The Ray Wallace Debate
Part I Ray Wallace continues to be the bone of contention in Bigfoot studies. It is time to expunge the databases of his negative contributions, and look at the real evidence for Sasquatch more clearly. It goes beyond a West versus East struggle, despite what some writers would have your believe. In Cryptomundo, over at “Wooly Booger’s Bigfoot Report,” you can find the final segment of John Green’s talk at Willow Creek in 2003. Sorry to say this, but some boneheaded comments of John Green’s are repeated therein. First off, to answer those readers of this blog who appear to [...]
Harold Stephens: 1970s Malaysian Bigfoot Tracker
Cryptomundo Exclusive Interview Anyone doing research on the so-called Bigfoot in Malaysia will soon run across the name "Harold Stephens." Today Cryptomundo gets an exclusive first interview with the man who thirty-five years ago conducted the first modern expedition in search of Malaysia’s Orang Dalam. And he reveals intriguing new details of other discoveries. Photo: Close up of the track of the Orang Dalam on a Malaysian sandbar found during Harold Stephens’ expedition. The track measured nineteen inches in length and was half as wide. His findings are being revisited again, in light of all the news of the Malaysian [...]
To Kill or Not to Kill Bigfoot
In Craig Woolheater’s blog , he quotes John Green as supporting the killing of Sasquatch, cutting up their bodies, and collecting many to do the dissections he feels are needed. He ends with this statement: So if your top priority is to make sure that no Sasquatch is killed, your most logical course is to do what over the years quite a few like-minded people have already done—drop the whole thing and hope, although of course it won’t happen, that everyone else will do the same. To John Green’s continued support of actively hunting down Bigfoot to ready them for [...]

Creatures of the Outer Edge
I am happy to announce that my first two books, The Unidentified and Creatures of the Outer Edge, with Jerome Clark, long out of print, are now back. First appearing in 1975 and 1978, these two classics have now been published as a special double edition with a new introduction. The Unidentified and Creatures of the Outer Edge: The Early Works of Jerome Clark and Loren Coleman is a new quality paperbound book from Anomalist Books. The Unidentified has intriguing, limited, and marginal information on cryptozoology. Historically, Creatures of the Outer Edge is more significant, in terms of looking at [...]
