Click image for full-size version François Vanasse and an associate (HP) have created the Bigfoot family tree shown above. Here’s Vanasse’s comment on it, followed by his colleague’s: +++++++ “First off, this is assuming that any of these creatures actually exist, and are biological…. To start with we placed all of these into the family of Great Apes, but have created a new subfamily called ‘Ferrisvirae’ which literally means ”wild men” and includes both imaginary genuses of Megapodapthecae and Capleoferrae. Sivapithecus is the ancestor of Gigantopithecus and hence the possible ancestor of Capleoferrae. However in our tree we chose to [...]
Bigfoot Talk on C2C
Sasquatch: Legend Meets Science by Jeff Meldrum. On Thursday, September 21, 2006, John Bindernagel and Jeffrey Meldrum will appear on “Coast to Coast AM with George Noory” to discuss Sasquatch and to promote their Bigfoot books, North America’s Great Ape: the Sasquatch, and Sasquatch: Legend Meets Science.
C2C: Recap
The “Coast to Coast AM with George Noory” producers/webmaster (Lisa, Tom & Lex) have posted their recap of my appearance here: Coleman Update First hour guest, Loren Coleman commented on the copycat nature of the Montreal school shooting, relating it to recent shootings in Vermont, North Carolina and France. The media plays a part by publicizing the anniversaries of events such as Columbine, he said. Coleman also gave an update on cryptozoology news, discussing the ‘Wooly Rhino’ and other creatures. Several interesting callers phoned in, with the best sighting of the night shared, in some detail, by an individual who [...]
Sasquatch Mountain Cast & Crew
Another Cryptomundo Exclusive The above is the cast and crew photograph from the shooting of Sasquatch Mountain. You can see in the middle of the photo the actor (Tiny Ron) who was in the Bigfoot suit. He had to wear an orange vest, as it was hunting season in Arizona. Having him get fired upon was something the movie crew had to prevent. Tiny Ron, an American born Ronald Taylor, is seven feet tall and played professional basketball in the 1970s in Vienna Austria. He is often remembered for his role of Maihar’du on “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.” Please [...]

$17 Million For Baby Bigfoot
Have you heard that the young Bigfoot caught in Maine has been sold to a mystery buyer for $17 million dollars? Don’t laugh. Yet. That’s what I’m being told has happened. When a Vegas casino or secret international corporation announces they have a baby Bigfoot in the near future, I don’t want anyone to say they weren’t informed here first! The capture and transportation of a baby Bigfoot (a/k/a "Yarwen" – whatever that is) would not have been an easy activity to accomplish. Above is part of the relocation, imagined, comically but sadly, by Peter Loh. Okay, okay, your credulity [...]
Sasquatch Mountain Thank You
Here’s a message to Cryptomundo viewers, from the writer/actor/producer behind the just broadcast Bigfoot narrative fiction seen on the Sci-Fi Channel the night of September 9, 2006. Loren, the work that you and people like you do in “The World Of The Highly Un-researched” is a blessing to us filmmakers in many ways. Much like the western genre, Cryptozoology is an area that borders on myth and reality at the same time and generates so much intrigue and possibility that it makes the storytelling almost automatic. As an actor/director/writer I find so much drama, conflict and passion (all areas of [...]
Sasquatch Hunters Revisited
Earlier this summer, I posted the two following blogs on the Sasquatch Hunter. Since the movie screened again on September 9, 2006, folks might be interested in reading highlights you might have missed. Fred Tepper, the director of Sasquatch Hunters (2005) writes in with news of his film’s screening. (Keen observers of the film will note the use of a brown resin copy of Grover Krantz’s Gigantopithecus skull reconstruction.) Tepper emails: My Bigfoot movie, Sasquatch Hunters is making its television premiere today, Tuesday, July 11th at 8pm Eastern/Pacific (7pm Central) on the Sci-Fi Channel. (This is in the U.S. and [...]

Badlands Bigfoot
Many people visiting here and reading about the Pine Ridge reports of Bigfoot have asked for a better feel of the land. The following is a report by a Cryptomundo correspondent that it is worthy of sharing, as it gives some good insights into the terrain, the people, and the Sasquatch of the area under discussion, as well as the commonplace nature of the sightings being submitted. I have lived in the Black Hills all my life and, unfortunately, have never seen a Bigfoot. I do know people that swear they have. My stepfather is one of them. I was [...]
