Cryptid Washes Ashore At Montauk

Something strange has washed ashore at Montauk Island, New York. “This is an actual monster, some sort of rodent-like creature with a dinosaur beak. A tipster says that there is ‘a government animal testing facility very close by in Long Island,’” says Gawker in a posting for Tuesday, July 29, 2008. Comments like “That’s a turtle, without its shell,” make no sense because of the teeth. Some fossil turtles had teeth, but no modern turtles possess real teeth. What is this animal? Why can’t people put some sort of size reference object in these mystery photos? How big is this [...]

Needed: Cryptid Eyewitness Who Can Draw

I have a request from a credible art book compiler who is going to press soon. He needs an eyewitness to a non-hairy-hominoid cryptid, who can draw their cryptozoological creature, and is willing to contribute a drawing of what they saw to his book. If you have seen a cryptid, can sketch it rather well, and would like to donate a drawing or two, send an email to me at Loren Coleman lcoleman {@} maine.rr.com [remove the { } ] with a jpeg attachment of your drawing(s). Thank you. I may use a few sketches (not used in his book) [...]

Michel Raynal is one of the foremost cryptozoologists in Europe, the webmaster of Virtual Institute of Cryptozoology, the first French site devoted to cryptozoological research. Raynal, pictured above, passes along some comments, below, in response to German comment maker Sordes’s claims on the Atlas bear published at Cryptomundo, which can be found more completely here: Sordes’s comments: “Around 1900 (or a bit later) bones of this [...]

Does Mokele-Mbembe Have A Trunk?

William Munns and his reconstruction of Gigantopithecus. The famed recreator of Gigantopithecus, artist Bill Munns has opened a new window into his world and what we find inside is filled with wonders to behold. Bigfoot. Mokele-Mbembe. Saber-toothed Cats. A cryptozoo, indeed. Munns has shared with me his news that he has uploaded and opened his Bill Munns Creature Gallery. His continuingly upgraded site, Bill Munns Creature Gallery, represents 35 years of his work in varied fields of movie makeup effects, museum exhibit models, theme park robotics, and paleontology studies that have also included visualizations of prehistoric wildlife. As he points [...]
