A new work has been published by Crypto-Logos in Russia, entitled Bigfoot Research: The Russian Vision. It appears it will soon be offered by Hancock House. (I have not seen a review copy yet.) The book’s author is Dmitri Bayanov; it was compiled by Christopher L. Murphy, and edited by Roger Knights.
New Wolverine Photos
A wolverine has been captured on camera by an Oregon State student, Katie Moriarty. Confirming new photographs (below) have been recorded from the Tahoe National Forest in California, during mid-March 2008. Earlier, it was established this is the first wolverine verified in California since 1922. A major conclusion from my “Pinky Expedition” is the same one that I have found over and over again. There are no simple answers to the mysteries of monsters in our midst. Looking at other “cryptids,” additionally, we have to consider the other pieces of the puzzle. Various interviews I’ve had with St. Johns River and Lake Monroe area residents who remember the news reports from the 1950s still do feel that the reports were merely “Northern” tourists who saw unusual (but known) animals in the local waters. Today, I look at the role of crocodilians, especially the American alligator, in any confusion with Pinky. Pinky Expedition: St. Johns River, Part 2
My search for Pinky continues. But I am becoming convinced from my exploration of the central St. Johns River area that Pinky reports are a probable event of the recent past, and mostly a foggy memory, at best. No current knowledge of these animals or cryptids is contemporarily apparent. The draft of the river in this area of central Florida is not supportive of ocean life such as dolphins, and other than the manatees that need to find warm springs in the cold season, it seems hard to imagine marine Sea Serpents or alleged living dinosaurs visiting “American’s Nile.” Reports [...]
