I was born the year a Bigfoot was reportedly killing dogs and sheep around Pine Ridge, Missouri; see page 230, of Janet and Colin Bord’s Bigfoot Casebook Updated. I am still in pursuit of the elusive Wetzel Kangaroo Beer empties or label. I don’t drink, but cryptobrewology lives on. Unlike some of [...]
Elusive as Bigfoot: White Squirrels
Remember my blogs at the end of last year, about black (melanistic) and white (albino and near albino) squirrels? Those stories became some of the most popular (non-mystery photo) postings that have appeared here. See 2006′s Top Black and White Squirrel Locations, Yahoo’s Makes Us #1 With Salt & Pepper Squirrels, and Black and White Squirrels Visit any of those sites for more photographs of white and black squirrels. All of a sudden, now that it is summer, white squirrels are in the news again. One city in the South is promoting its new discovery of a white squirrel (above) [...]
Tazelwurm – Part Ic
During the next few days, I will be passing along the complete contributions of Austrian cryptozoologist Luis Schönherr on the cryptid Tatzelwurm. The beginnings of this, through incomplete portions first published in Pursuit, will now be fully shared by the author with the cryptozoology community. My sincere thanks to the efforts of French cryptozoologist Michel Raynal, for bringing this material to light. Please refer to sources and references in the final installment, as well as full credit to Luis Schönherr’s son, Martin Schönherr. S O M E R E L A T E D A S P E C T [...]
Fur Associated With Mystery Cat Found
The news being discussed in papers in Maine, Vermont, and Massachusetts yesterday and today is of another recent event involving a possible “mountain lion” in central Maine. On the 4th of July, the Blethen Maine News Service (named after the owners of the Seattle Times who purchased the Portland Press Herald and other related Maine newspapers a few years ago) put out a story about the turning over on July 3rd of possible “big cat” DNA samples from Oakland, Maine. The site of the finds, Oakland, Maine, is 12 miles from Sidney, Maine, where the Mystery Cat photograph (above) was [...]
New Update on Maine Mystery Cat Photos!
For more background on the above photograph, please see “New Maine Mystery Cat Photo Details”. Now, here is an update…on the photographs (not just a photograph)! The Kennebec Journal is a newspaper located in Augusta, Maine, the biggest city near the little town of Sidney. In the Friday edition, there was an article about the new photograph of a Mystery Cat. In the comments section, the following email was sent in and can be found below the article: Our lab at Elm City Photo processed this image straight off from his digital camera chip with no enhancements other than to [...]
Going Dodo Over Tassie Tiger Doodoo and Dodo Bones
While it is a long shot, there are still people today who report sightings of Dodo birds. Needless to say, even when new fossil remains are found of these avian wonders, the media tends to go a little dodo itself. Reporter Ed Harris of Reuters learned from Julian Hume, a paleontologist at Britain’s Natural History Museum, of the new discovery of a nearly complete skeleton from a dodo dig on Mauritius, and the news is centering the globe. The new find, Hume shared, is bound to tell more about the elusive bird than perhaps ever known before. The discovery was [...]
Breaking: New Mystery Cat Photo
Lewiston, Maine’s Sun Journal’s morning edition for Friday, June 29th, will be breaking the story of a new sighting and photograph of the following Mystery Cat. Click on image for full size version This new photograph was taken near Sidney, Maine, in the central part of the state. Game wardens feel it shows proof of a mountain lion. Others at the newspaper are expressing some skepticism. The cat photograph is clearly not a domestic cat, and does show the typical nose pattern, chest white hair, and overall structure of a mountain lion (puma, cougar, painter, panther, and other names). This [...]
Destination Truth: Johor Bigfoot
Bigfooter Allen Foster takes a peek at the latest episode about reports of hairy hominoids in Malaysia on Destination Truth: The “team” went to Malaysia to find Bigfoot. The leader, Josh Gates, interviewed the Malaysia’s leading Bigfoot researcher, Vincent Chow. Then they went to a local town near the last reported sighting and interviewed witnesses. Off into the jungle they went to where the latest sighting was. The team found a possible footprint and made a cast of it. The footprint was irregular in shape but did look like a possible print. They had one of their night vision cameras [...]
A Pterodactyl in the Pool Cabana
There’s a Pterodactyl in the Pool Cabana So Brian passed it along, With a pat on the nose and a song. From Freaky Links in the South, Yikes, look at that mouth. Thanks Patrick for taking the family heat With the head in your passenger seat. To some, it’s a bizarre abomination, Seeking love, far from its final destination. The thing is in search of its new home. The creature has more miles to roam. Does it appear as an unwelcome louse? Nay, now it’s in the pool house. No need for further trepidation, Or even swimmers’ consternation. No reason [...]
