Click on image for full-size version Click on image for full-size version Scott Corrales has sent to Cryptomundo the photographs you see here, labeled "Strange Brazilian Creature," with this following message: These images were just forwarded to me from Spain regarding (and I quote): "a strange creature found by the Servicio de Aguas (Water Authority) of the town of Sorcaba, Brasil. It was taken to a biologist at the zoo (no name given) was was stunned and believed it to be a mutation of a smaller creature." What Scott is being shown is not cryptozoological, not a mutation of a [...]

Nat Geo’s New Hominology Documentary
Recent speculation about National Geographic Channel making a new Bigfoot documentary in West Virginia is groundless. National Geographic Channel’s production team was there recently to do some spot re-creations of events that took place decades ago in East Asia, not about classic Bigfoot, but regarding Almas. I’ve been in communication with them for some time, as hominologist Adam Davies’ expedition to Mongolia in search of Almas was being planned and then being filmed. Now they are doing end-of-the-production tidbits with the re-creations. On March 16, 2006, I exclusively wrote about this documentary here at Cryptomundo. Click to see a larger-sized [...]
Sun Journal: Creature Looks Like A Canine
Click on image for full-size version Photograph by Michelle O’Donnell. Used by permission. The body of the dead animal found in Turner, Maine, according to DNA tests conducted on behalf of and paid for by the Lewiston newspaper, the Sun Journal, belonged to a member of the genus Canis, not a Tasmanian devil, not a rodent, not a Chupacabras, not a hyena, not a werewolf, not an Eastern Bigfoot, and/or not from any wild species speculations that were heard over the last ten days. Nevertheless, it is important to understand, the real Mystery Beast is still out there! Readers of [...]
Stovepipe Hat Bigfoot?
Some folks at the Pine Ridge Reservation say there are two separate things being seen. A Bigfoot and a Tall Man or Big Man. Could there be an overlap in reports? This is the Harry Trumbore illustration from The Field Guide of Bigfoot and Other Mystery Primates (p. 45) of Pitt Lake, BC’s "Sasquatch" seen in June 1965. Could eyewitnesses of some Bigfoot at Pine Ridge be misintreprating the head shape of these creatures for a stovetop hat? And what are we to make of reports of the "Big Man" with a cape? Reports of Bigfoot stealing shirts and pants [...]
We Still Have Not Received Bigfoot Body!
Sometimes communication moves slowly. Although I asked for an official copy of the press release some time ago, just today, August 21, 2006, I received the apparently well-hidden url location of the document from Breanna Bishop, the Public Information Coordinator at The South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. Here is a copy of the full, unedited text of their document: School of Mines Bigfoot Rumors False — Released August 9, 2006 Contrary to online reports, the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology has not been in receipt of the body of Bigfoot. According to a report appearing on [...]

Lewiston reporter and Cryptomundo associate these days, Mark Laflamme takes some moments on Monday, August 21, 2006, to look at “Merchandising the beast?” in the Sun Journal. Please click on image for full-size version Photograph by Michelle O’Donnell. Used by permission. Laflamme speaking to a local central Maine readership, first and foremost, observes: Admit it. All week, you’ve been calling friends around the country to brag about the mystery creature stalking the Maine woods. You love that dead, unidentified beast and you want a way to celebrate it. Put [...]
