Linda Godfrey writes: “Hi, breaking news in that a second witness has contacted Ch.12 TV in Milwaukee and said that he will go on camera to tell about his sighting of what he claims is the same creature two years ago, not far from where Mr. Krueger saw it. The man is a painting contractor, and did see the lower part of the animal. It was bipedal. That’s all I know at the moment.” ___ Check back here for more later…

New Zealand’s Waitoreke
Could the Waitoreke be related to the Oriental small-clawed otter (Amblonyx cinereus)? Next to the giant moa reports, the most discussed mystery animal of New Zealand is the waitoreke. Maoris and early colonists on the nation’s South Island frequently reported a small otterlike animal known as the kaureke and also as the waitoreke. Late nineteenth-century writers on New Zealand’s natural landscape tried to fit the sightings into some logical framework, notwithstanding the reality that no otters, beavers, or other European animals then existed in that country. Around 1855 the Rev. Richard Taylor interviewed a man who claimed repeated observations of [...]
Wamsley’s Mothman Interview
Let the anniversary articles begin. Let the 40th anniversary parties commence. Above: Mothman Museum director Jeff Wamsley holds his most recent book, Mothman: Behind the Red Eyes. With him is museum co-worker Todd Wiseman, an Ohio University film student making a documentary about Mothman. I earlier today posted on the question of whether the 12th, not the 15th, might be more correctly the “first” date of the “first” multiple sighting of Mothman. That aside, historically, the Scarberry-Mallette encounter will be remembered as the “first,” and here’s the local media’s kickoff to the 40th year celebration. In the The Herald-Dispatch of [...]
“First” Mothman Sighting
Technically, should November 12th (or even November 1st) be the 40th anniversary of the first sighting of Mothman? Since Kenneth Duncan only came forth with his and others’ encounter after the Scarberry-Mallette-Partridge events of three days later, the sighting on the 12th is hardly ever awarded the recognition of the honors of being mentioned as “first.” No attempt was made to capture this multiple eyewitnesses event, even in a fictionalized fashion, in The Mothman Prophecies movie. It can be factually summarized, thusly: November 12, 1966 – On this date, five men (including Kenneth Duncan) digging a grave in a cemetery [...]

Not Bigfoot?
Witness denies labeling large animal Bigfoot West Bend, Wisconsin – A 39-year-old Menasha man has found himself in the middle of Washington County “wildman of the wilderness” fever. Steven Krueger doesn’t know where all this Bigfoot talk came from, but he will not be sorry to see it stop. “I hope it just goes away. It’s starting to get irritating,” Krueger said. “I never once said it was a Bigfoot or yeti.” The sheriff’s department report bears that out, only mentioning a creature “approximately 7 feet tall, very black, and very wide.” After some kind of creature startled Krueger early [...]
Godfrey: Wisconsin Bigfoot – NOT!
The following is authored by Linda Godfrey: The Washington County Bigfoot is not a Bigfoot! Much ado about something…but NOT a Bigfoot! Two Milwaukee TV stations, WTMJ ch. 4 and WISN ch. 12, reported Nov. 9 and 10, 2006, that Steven Krueger, a contractor who picks up roadkill for Washington and several other counties in southern Wisconsin, had an encounter with a Bigfoot. After a lengthy phone interview with Krueger on Nov. 10, I found out that he did have a strange experience with an unidentifiable creature, but it was NOT a Bigfoot. From Krueger’s description, the closest I can [...]
11/11 Winged Weirdies
Eleven years ago on the eleventh day of the eleventh month… November 11, 1995, Zacapa, Guatemala – During a spate of bizarre animal killings in the area, Alicia Fajardo encountered a strange winged creature on her property at around one o’clock in the morning. She described it as about four feet tall, with large bat-like wings, huge oval-shaped eyes, and a large mouth with huge protruding fangs. It was covered with dark hair and had a tail and claw-like feet. The creature flew away in an upward spiral emitting a strange humming sound. (Source: Albert S. Rosales, Humanoid Contact Database [...]
YouTube Johor
People might wish to view YouTube’s Malaysian Bigfoot video, which is an extract from Jonathan Kent’s BBC report on the subject. The drawings of what the sighted Johor Bigfoot looked like, have a bulky appearance to them, and are worth the viewing alone. There is also footage of Vincent Chow (above) on the YouTube clip. Kent shows footprints discovered along a creek too. My thanks to the anonymous Cryptomundo contributor for pointing to this.
