Bushnell Rules: $1,000,000 Sasquatch Photo Challenge

Bushnell has published their rules and press release: Your Chance To Win Gear (and a Million Bucks) By Sending Us Your Trail Cam Photos! We’re not saying we believe in Sasquatch, but if anyone’s ever going to capture an image of one, we’re guessing it’ll be a hunter with a trail camera. That’s why Bushnell is offering a chance at $1,000,000 to the first person using one who snaps a verifiable photo of the beast. But just in case no Bigfoots wander your way, the editors at Field & Stream magazine are giving away great Bushnell gear for the best [...]

Is New Yeti Evidence “Potentially Explosive”?

An article entitled “Yeti ‘photo-fit’ shows ‘potentially explosive’ evidence of elusive mountain beast” by Richard Holt, in London’s The Telegraph for 2 June 2008, has noted, with some excitement, that wildlife painter Polyanna Pickering has been shown what is believed to be “a 100-year-old Yeti scalp at a remote monastery in the Himalayas.” Based upon Pickering’s viewing of the “scalp,” she has sketched (see example above) a drawing, which is being called “a ‘photo-fit’ of the Yeti based on ‘potentially explosive’ new evidence of the elusive creature’s existence.” Pickering was collecting material for her planned new exhibition, while she was [...]

Woman Killed By Quebec Animal

The apparent mystery animal attacks continue. Or, at least, that’s the way early media reports would have you thinking. In this case, the offending animal remains at large, and thus far, the cause of the death is only based on a nearby sighting of a bear. Something seems a little off about this in the land of the Windigo. The Globe and Mail, late on June 1, 2008, reported that a “Bear kills woman in Quebec”, thusly: Quebec conservation officers are on the hunt for a bear that killed a 70-year-old woman. Provincial police say the victim’s husband went looking [...]

C2C: Thunderbirds + La Bruja

I will be on Coast to Coast AM for an hour from 10 PM-11 PM Pacific (June 1, 2008), 1 AM-2 AM Eastern (June 2), tonight, talking about Thunderbirds. How far we drift into general cryptozoology, the M. K. Davis Bigfoot Massacre theory, and the Bushnell One Million Dollar Bigfoot Photo prize depends on George Noory and people that call in, I suppose. I doubt we will talk about Mothman. However, perhaps one thing that needs to be reexamined is the following video from Mexico of la bruja, the “flying witch” or “flying humanoid.” In talking to Mark A. Hall [...]

Men in Cryptozoology: Daniel Perez

Daniel Perez holds a 14.5-inch cast of an alleged Bigfoot track from Bluff Creek in Northern California. May 31, 2008, is Daniel Perez’s 45th birthday. For over two decades, Perez has held a deep interest in Bigfoot, traveling far and wide, moderating conferences, and putting himself right in the middle of debates and personality conflicts. Daniel Perez is a people person. He is as well known for seeking in-depth personal information about the pursuers of hairy unknown hominodis as he is for gathering long-forgotten facts about Bigfoot. Perez is known to many as the “Jerry Springer” of Bigfootry for the [...]

Brazilian Hominoids Discovered

Before you jump to any conclusions, remember “hominoids” includes humans, hominids, anthropoids, and pongids. What has been discovered, actually? What would happen if an undiscovered group of so-called “Brazilian Indians” was found, and among them were seen “near-humans”? Would anyone take the possibilities seriously? In a time when Google Earth is spotting hidden huts in the jungles, will satellite photos reveal more than living areas and humans? Will sky-based photography point out more of a diversity of hominoids or merely confuse the picture? See today’s breaking images from Brazil: Fox News is reporting on Friday, May 30, 2008, those photos [...]
