Alien Big Cats

Update: Belfast Lion

With reference to the multiple sightings of a “large cat” on Irish soil, after the search for the large felid failed, the official “Wipe” has now been put into place.

Belfast Lion Sighted

The location of the sightings does not really surprise me, if you consider the source of the reports are a social felid.

Mystery Cat DNA: It’s A Wild Puma

Kansas mountain lions are reported as frequently as most other mystery cats seen around the Midwest, of course. Most officials still say these are due to misidentifications. Now there’s proof that one of those sightings was not of a mistaken house cat. Last spring 2008, a …Barber County man was chopping wood when he saw the animal in the grass. He retrieved a firearm from his truck and shot it. KDWP obtained the pelt in March. Biologists collected muscle tissue samples and sent them to a federal research laboratory in Montana. After several months of tests, researchers were able to [...]

Mystery Cat Video

Just in case the notice got lost in the post-blackout entries, please click here to find the video of the University of Maryland felid. It looks like neither like a savannah cat nor a cougar to me. The following is a freeze frame from the video. Quality is poor. I have not seen a YouTube of this UMD video yet.

New Mystery Cat Photos Questioned

Is there another unknown felid being seen on the University of Maryland campus? Should we question the quick identification being given to this cat? Multiple Sightings of U.Md. Cougar

The Campus Cougar Alert of July 31st has been followed by more details of the sightings, through comments at Cryptomundo and media information. It couldn’t have wandered here on its own. And even if it could, they don’t come here….First we want to find and identify it, then get the proper people to trap and remove it. If it is a cougar, it doesn’t belong in our highly urbanized area. They’re not predatory, but it’s still not good to have a cougar running around. I have all my cameras pointed in that direction and all my officers looking for it. [...]
