The New Straits Times had a very short article about the Malaysian Bigfoot on April 11, 2006. It was given with various headlines in different editions, one being “Information on Bigfoot comes at a price.”
This news item quoted the opinion of, as they termed him, “Bigfoot enthusiast” and biodiversity researcher Vincent Chow. He “claimed the villagers were not as forthcoming with information as before but the minute they were paid, they became very helpful and vocal.”
Meanwhile, Independent reporter Jan McGirk informs me that the famed cast of the Johor Bigfoot is still the possesion of the SPI team in Malaysia, it is not in LA, nor has it been turned over to government officials either.
The images of what these Johor unknown hominoids appear to look like have been few and far between. It is time for more precise descriptions to appear – verbally or visually. Comparison images – as I’ve already discussed, of course, from The Field Guide to Bigfoot – might be shown in Malaysia. But other drawings are available for such uses too. For example, an investigator onsite might wish to know how closely does the Johor Bigfoot appear to look like the Almas (shown) above? If the locals are giving info, how about someone getting better imagery, drawings or specific description, too?
