ECHO’s CHAMPFEST has been featuring a history of Champ sightings, portrayals of the creature and more information about the field of cryptozoology. It is great to learn the Vermont museum has embraced the use of the word “cryptozoology.”

At 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 1st, there will be a story hour for guests 6 and under, when kids can draw Champ and make masks.

Through March 2, 2014, ECHO will show a documentary about the famous photo snapped by Sandra Mansi that allegedly shows Champ surfacing in the lake. The original 1977 photo by Mansi is on public display for the first time, according to the Boston Globe. The museum’s website claims, “This is the first time this photo has been available for public viewing.”
