Scores of people in the media find their way to me, oftentimes to ask where they can obtain this or that image. In the case of the recent series of Bigfoot movies on the Sci-Fi Channel, TV Guide approached me asking if I could help them with the rights to a frame from the Patterson-Gimlin film. As mentioned here, the group the Seekers decided to sell their often-photographed Johor Bigfoot footcast (pictured in situ above and, as frequently recalled, immediately below). I have learned their recent starting bid was $30,000US. That was beyond what most people can afford, and their Malaysian eBay auction ended on September 27th with no bids. Modern images of the Kraken come via Jules Verne’s book and from remembrances of the 1954 sci-fi movie named after his book, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. Mothman Producer Dies
Executive producer Barry Conrad (above, right) and his producer partner Lisa McIntosh (above, left) have been working on their documentary project about the Flatwoods Monster, Kelly Creatures, and Mothman for over five years. Their production company has completed several documentaries that have been broadcast on the Biography, A&E, Discovery, Sci-Fi and TLC channels. Another Cryptomundo Exclusive The above is the cast and crew photograph from the shooting of Sasquatch Mountain. You can see in the middle of the photo the actor (Tiny Ron) who was in the Bigfoot suit. He had to wear an orange vest, as it was hunting season in Arizona. Having him get fired upon was something the movie crew had to prevent. Tiny Ron, an American born Ronald Taylor, is seven feet tall and played professional basketball in the 1970s in Vienna Austria.
