California Cryptozoic

What: “CALIFORNIA CRYPTOZOIC” When: October 28 – November 25, 2006 Opening Saturday October 28, 9pm – Partytime Who: Artist Megan Whitmarsh (visit her site for her little Yeti film) Where: October, 28 2006 at the New Image Art Gallery, 7908 Santa Monica Blvd., West Hollywood, CA 90046 How Much: Free “Yeti does Disco” with bling bling or goes Star Wars, well, is sort of weird, I’d say. Or very normal, nowadays. Yeti Jacket

Hey, I want one of those as a gift for the holidays, don’t you? David Pescovitz mentions a great new piece of cryptozoology outerwear to add to anyone’s wish list. David writes at Boing Boing: This amazing track jacket embroidered with Tim Biskup’s Yeti illustration is part of his Gama-Go collection for Fall. Mermaid Photos Again

Today, Cryptomundo has received more emails telling us that strange and mysterious Mermaid photos supposedly snapped in Mexico, Dominican Republic, or Malaysia are circulating on the Internet. These emails are asking for us to either identify the “Mermaid” or post the photographs on Cryptomundo. But we have already done this. As I mentioned a few days ago when I published several of the photos here, these images are of a taxidermy fake. The object pictured is a piece of art from American Juan Cabana, who is well-known for his smaller fake Feejee Mermaids. It probably was photographed from various angles [...]
