American ornithologist Melvin Alvah Traylor Jr., 92, has died. He was among the members of the 1960 World Book Encyclopedia Scientific Expedition to the Himalaya led by Sir Edmund Hillary. Melvin Traylor (December 16, 1915 – February 11, 2008) was the son of famed Chicago banker Melvin Alvah Traylor and Mrs. Dorothy Y. Traylor. Sam Sherry of Wilpen, Pennsylvania, holds plaster casts of Bigfoot tracks that he found in his area. Correspondents Eric Altman and Paul Johnson have sent along word today that Pennsylvania Bigfoot researcher Sam Sherry, 86, has passed away. Creature From The Black Lagoon Has Died
Ben Chapman, 82, has passed away this morning, February 21, 2008, at 12:15 AM Hawaii time. Chapman was admitted to the hospital two days ago and died peacefully in his hospital bed. He had a living will and his life support was disconnected yesterday about noon Hawaii time. Loch Ness Monster Filmmaker Dies
Ralph Bradshaw White, 66, a National Geographic contract cameraman who filmed the documentary Search for the Loch Ness Monster, died February 4, 2008, at the Glendale Adventist Medical Center in California, the Los Angeles Times announced on February 13. Ah Meng, 48, Dies
It is with great sadness that I must report the death of the world’s oldest, if not oldest, Sumatran Orangutan. This great primate, named Ah Meng, was 48 years old and lived at the Singapore Zoological Gardens.
