Malaysian Bigfoot

Orang Dalam

Harold Stephens has just returned from the rainforests of Malaysia where he tells me he was filmed for an upcoming documentary on the Johor Bigfoot situation. Writing in transit from Johor to Bangkok on August 3, Stephens sends along, among other things, this: Spent three days in Malaysia with Rick Noll and his team. He interviewed me on camera. Met Vincent Chow, and he had met me before. Hardly much of a trek anyone can do in three days. And Vincent, I don’t think he ever got his shoes muddy. The others remain in Malaysia longer. I stayed only three [...]

Johor Eyes: “Sex Appeal” or “Garfield’s”?

The matter of Sean Ang’s recent drawing discussed here on Monday is the subject of an article in the New Straits Times for Thursday, August 3, 2006, entitled “Sexual Gaze of Johor’s Bigfoot.” The paper is reporting on a new twist and extension of visual interpretations of the new drawing of the “eyes.” The New Straits Times is noting that Sean Ang says there is a sexual meaning to the eyes he has drawn alleged based on a photo of an alleged photograph of these alleged Malaysian unknown hominoids. In specific segments of the article, it is mentioned that Sean [...]

China Challenges Johor Bigfoot Theory

Eyes on Johor: New Drawing Linked to French Illusion

Interestingly, the day after Cryptomundo filed an update here on the void in the Johor Bigfoot photo situation, Sean Ang posted yet another drawing from the alleged photographs. My commentary on this new material follows an introduction of what has newly appeared. Part of what is being said follows: The above is a sketch based on Photograph labelled as JH002: Jogi. Both Photograph JH002 and JH003 belong to the same individual, probably a young adult female hominin. Whereas photograph JH001: Joman is a photograph of a full body of an adult male hominin, both JH002 and JH003 are closeup of [...]

Johor Bigfoot Photos: Still Nothing

Why is the Malaysian situation at such a stalemate? What the February Johor footprint (above) tells us grows more confusing, but, at least, it is in hand. As of the last day of July 2006, still no photographs of the unknown hairy hominoids reportedly taken in Johor, Malaysia, have been shown publicly, shared with the scientific community, or published. Drawings, yes, exist, but you will be spared seeing those again here. (You can find them by clicking “Malaysian Bigfoot” in the column to the right.) Vincent Chow and Sean Ang are using their site, once again, to leak more details [...]

Johor Hominid Hair?

In terms of keeping you informed, this is shared. In terms of levels of frustration, you looked, correct? We report. You decide. A short description of a specimen labelled as "JHFW 19/2/2006: Hair Sample 1" Click image for full-size version The above sample was one of three collected by Vincent Chow (on 19th Feb. 2006 at 10.30 am) during one of his trips to the haunts of the hominid at Kota Tinggi. Together with Vincent for the outing were a BBC journalist Jonathan Kent, accompanied by Justin (cameraman from BBC UK), the local NST press and cameraman and some members [...]

Exclusive: The Complete Hominid

Despite how frustrated a few people may be of the speculations, more images of the Johor Hominid continue to fire the imagination of other artists. Now with the tracings from Vincent Chow and Sean Ang, it only seems logical that someone would try to pull together the various parts of the picture. Cryptomundo shares the first ones with you. A Cryptomundo reader has done exactly this (see above). Paul Goodall combines the tracings-from-photographs of Chow and Ang, plus the descriptions in recent news articles, for this “Cryptomundo Exclusive” complete sketch of the Johor Hominid. The Goodall drawing rather factually records [...]

Johor Photos Promoted For Funding?

According to a new article in the Malaysian newspaper, The New Straits Times, the ultimate motive of all of the recent news about the launch of the Johor Hominid website may have been revealed: a call for funding. R. Sittamparam, writing in an article on July 15th, notes that Vincent Chow’s and Sean Ang’s website is petitioning UNESCO for “world heritage status.” The news writer found that the website has …started a signature campaign among Malaysians and the international community to support the petition, which will also be sent to the Government. The petition states that the discovery of close-up [...]
