Free Halloween Open House: Dress As Bigfoot, Receive Autographed Book

The “Free” day at the museum today, Sunday, will be a “sneak preview” event. Great fun will be had by all. Costumed cryptids will receive Halloween candy, and an autographed book. No formal tours will be conducted, no photography will be allowed, and no questions will be answered, as during regular admissions, but this is a great opportunity to see the museum briefly.

It is a “thank you” to the community, no fees for admission will be collected nor expected, but donations (of course) will be gratefully accepted.  Thusfar, only $25 has been donated to celebrate our first year.

Thanks to Pat at Film Vac, Inc. for mailing in a Halloween donation.

The International Cryptozoology Museum is going to celebrate its FIRST anniversary with a FREE admission open house, from Noon to 5:00 pm, on Sunday, October 31, 2010. Come one, come all, and thanks for a great first year.

We will have Halloween treats for trick or treaters of all ages, and at least one free giveaway book (Glowing Birds: Stories from the Edge of Science by Patrick Huyghe ~ which contains a chapter on Grover Krantz) for anyone who dresses up as Bigfoot, Mothman, Yeti, or any other cryptid. Bring in your Loren Coleman books from your library for an autograph.

Dress up. Win a free book.

No tours will be given during the open house (come back another day for one of those). But the new Crookston Bigfoot (below) shirts (designed by Sarah McCann) and ICM logo (above) tees (designed by Duncan Hopkins) and unique Momo, Mothman, Bigfoot, Kongamato, and Cassie Sea Serpents finger puppets/sculptures (also made by McCann) will be on sale. Did I mention that autographed books will be available too?

The new tees, designed by Sarah McCann, are in and available for $20 each, onsite, or $27 mailed priority to you, within the USA. Use the donation button below to order yours!! Your ordering details will be confirmed in our followup emails.

Did I mention that donations will be accepted during the open house, but not expected on this day in which we say “Thank You” to the public?

Your support has been all important!

Thank you for keeping us alive.

Patrons’ donations have been and are greatly appreciated, and keep us an ever-changing museum. Please consider making an anniversary donation and having your name listed in our first year notices and newsletter!

Thank you!!

Come meet the man in the hat and his big friend! Meet Chief Docent Coordinator Jeff Meuse, Docent Curator Sarah McCann, Tour Guide Dustin Howe, and Development Director Eric Howell.
