Waldboro’s Little Hairy Man

Do you know anything more about this little hairy creature?

Source: Georgia Telegraph, Macon, Georgia, February 20, 1855, page 3.

Waldboro, Maine, is an area traditionally known for strange sightings of various creatures. Hockomock Point, for example, is one of those specially-named locations that reflect a “demonic” background.

Crack Maine researcher Rob Carignan points out that a variation on this news items is to be found in The Historical Bigfoot (Coachwhip, 2006) by Chad Arment, of course.

Hopefully, someone, somewhere will be alerted to this appearing in some other form, with more details or followup.

Thanks to Fabio Picasso for forwarding this item.
