Recently, I mentioned actor Matt Lattimore’s death and one of the last movies in which he appeared. Now you have a chance to watch him and that film tonight.

Fred Tepper, the director of Sasquatch Hunters (2005) writes in with news of his film’s screening today.
Tepper emails:
My Bigfoot movie, Sasquatch Hunters is making its television premiere today, Tuesday, July 11th at 8pm Eastern/Pacific (7pm Central) on the Sci-Fi Channel. (This is in the U.S. and maybe Canada — I think other countries have their own Sci-Fi Channel, so I don’t think it’ll be on there. But check your listings to be sure.)
If you haven’t seen the film I’ll tell you this: It’s very low budget (though we had a bigger budget than Patterson ) and while it’s not a great film, we at least tried to treat Bigfoot with respect. For example, he’s not the crazed killer that you usually see in films like this, all is peaceful until the humans start causing trouble — Bigfoot is shown to be peaceful until disturbed.
The special effects are very hit or miss, and since I did them all, I’m to blame. Most are a guy in a suit, and some are all digital. If you go to this link and follow it to the Downloads page you’ll see a little “making of” video that you might find interesting — if for no other reason than to see what’s possible these days with one computer and a little free time. The potential that today’s technology has for hoaxers is extraordinary and quite tempting.
So watch the show! Tell your friends! Tell your enemies! Tell complete strangers!
PS: Loren, I saw your column on Cryptomundo about the death of my lead actor last month. Thanks for putting that up. It’s a shame Matt didn’t live to see the Sci-Fi airing, since he was always hoping it would make it there.
PPS: “Cryptomundo” is a very clever name and it really made me chuckle when I saw it.
