The cryptozoology artist Bill Rebsamen remembers Scott Norman.

Cryptozoology has lost a passionate heart in the person of Scott Norman.

I met Scott 10 years ago after I purchased my first Mac for home use and tried out a free membership to AOL. Within the first week I had used AOL’s search engine to locate other people of cryptozoological interests. The first people I met that week were Scott Norman and Matthew Bille.

Scott and I became fast friends and he kindly built my first ever website to showcase my art. Scott was always very patient and helpful towards me since I was new to the whole world of computers and the internet.

Scott was a wonderful Christian brother and lived an honest Christ-like walk. He truly loved the Lord, his fellow man and all God’s creation. Scott was gentle soul, very thoughtful of others. There is no telling how far reaching he kind spirit was considering his many contacts worldwide.

Scott was one of the few Cryptozoological researchers to have actually had an encounter with a cryptid (or cryptids as the case might be). Both times were a total surprise to him. He once ended up on the flat on the ground ducking a mysterious winged creature and the other time was yanked into an African river by an unseen creature on the other end of a sonar line!

We will miss Scott, but rest assured, he now knows the answers to a myriad of mysteries while in the presence of God who created all things great and small. Bill Rebsamen
