Ray Crowe (born December 30, 1937), founder of the original Western Bigfoot Society twenty years ago, who in recent years has suffered a heart attack and the amputation of his right foot below the knee, was in surgery most of Monday, April 9, 2012. Ray was in the hospital to have his toes removed from his left foot due to continued circulation problems.
Ray’s decline began soon after he lost his beloved wife Theata (see her obituary) at the age of 66 on September 21, 2004.
According to the latest reports from Larry Sanders, Rhettman A Mullis Jr, and others, Ray has come out of the operation and is recovering quietly. Ray is at the V.A. hospital in Portland, Oregon (no calls please), and will be there until his healing is well-established.
The thoughts of all his good friends and fans are with Ray, for a quick and painless recovery.
