The latest is that it will be broadcast in two or three weeks.
It looks like they will run it at some future date, perhaps. Stay tuned. At least without the taint of Halloween, the segment will be viewed more scientifically.
In the context of the topic of cryptozoology being discussed right before Halloween, the International Cryptozoology Museum, Cryptopalooza, and various cryptozoologists, the plan was to profile these topics on CBS Sunday Morning on Sunday. Scheduling conflicts, breaking international or national events can always change plans – oh, like a hurricane named Sandy hitting the East Coast – and timing is fluid. It looks like Halloween and cryptozoology didn’t mix for this weekend.

This fall, producer Mary Lou Teel and her crew, along with senior (but youthful) correspondent Serena Altschul visited Portland, Maine’s International Cryptozoology Museum, and spent a full day filming at the site, interviewing me (Loren Coleman), and talking to visitors to the collection.
Then over the weekend of October 20th, the CBS folks journeyed to Cryptopalooza in Jefferson, Texas (where I was giving the keynote talk), and they recorded hours of background footage and interviews. (Needless to say, I have no idea what parts of the footage will ever make it to broadcast, if any, but, in general, Teel and Altschul had done their homework for a cryptotourism-friendly piece about cryptozoology.)
They also were going to show a micro-second screening of a few clips of the new Bigfoot film, Exists, (set in Texas), also on their broadcast of CBS Sunday Morning on October 28, 2012.
