Monster Bash Observes 40th Anniversary of Lake Worth Monster Sightings

What: This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Lake Worth Monster sightings. Monster Bash promises to be a fun event for the entire family as Fort Worth residents celebrate a local legend and the habitat he calls home.

When: 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Oct. 3

Where: Fort Worth Nature Center and Refuge, 9601 Fossil Ridge Road

Activities: Families can participate in hayrides, bison feeding, canoe tours, vendors, a festival area, monster-tracking, guided hikes and storytelling. The Skip Pullig Band will be performing their new album, including the song “The Goatman” which will be released to Texas radio stations in early September.

Lake Worth Monster

Admission: $4 for adults; $3 for seniors; $2 for ages 3-17; free for children under 3 and for Friends of the Fort Worth Nature Center and Refuge. Most activities will be free, but some will require a $5 fee.
