Cryptid Cat Conference: March 2009

Mark Fraser’s organization Big Cats in Britain will have their third annual conference in March 2009.

The venue is at the Marton Country Club near Teesside and the dates are the 20th to the 22nd. Attendance may be one day, two, or the entire weekend. It is your chance to meet local investigators and friends, talk to key mystery cat researchers and discuss the topic openly.

Tickets are full weekend £25 and one day £15.

Some researchers will have display stalls. Authors will be on hand to sell their books also. Overseas researchers may have posters and flyers of their own research, which will have been sent to the conference.

The itinerary so far is given below (please note, a couple more speakers will be added).

After each talk there will be a five to ten minutes audience question time.

Saturday 21st March

10:00 30 minute film show made by BCIB.

Rick Minter will be running workshops at the conference also, and Big Cats in Britain hopes to have the webcam running by then.

The Restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Light snacks can usually be ordered throughout the day. The restaurant is open to non-residents (non-guests).

Breakfast starts at 7:15am and takes orders until 9:30am. Choice ranges from Full English to a continental style.

Coffee and tea is served throughout the day, so why not drop in with a friend.

Most affordable lunches can be ordered from 12 noon until 2pm. Menus normally vary from a selection of sandwiches to full a’la carte with an excellent choice of deserts.

Afternoon tea is served between 3:30pm to 5:30pm daily. Ranging from sandwiches, scones, toasted teacakes, cream cakes and pots of tea.

Dinner can be ordered from 5 to 9:15pm, Monday to Friday. On Saturdays, orders start from 7pm. The Restaurant offers a wide range of wines. Deserts are changed nightly.
