Vance Orchard passed away March 7, 2006, in Walla Walla, Washington, ending a wonderful life of Bigfoot searching and reporting.

Discussed here was Vance’s personal journey and what he appreciated from his quest.

Vance also mentioned, in talks with me, a 1966 incident that drew him into the hunt for Bigfoot. Due to that incident, which he wrote about and was picked up by the Associated Press, Vance received a visit from Roger Patterson.
