Doug Hajicek and Will Yates of “MonsterQuest” had arranged for the donation of some intriguing props to the International Cryptozoology Museum. They arrived yesterday.
The first is a “MonsterQuest” field-used trailcam (pictured above) employed during their four-year series’ on-site investigations, marked “Camera 1.”
The other is “Head 1″ (pictured above, shortly after arrival in this snapshot). It is the first of the five test Patterson-Gimlin film footage heads (shown below) used in MonsterQuest’s Sasquatch evidence analysis episode.
We deeply appreciate these donations to the International Cryptozoology Museum, which fulfill one of our objectives, namely, to preserve and protect items of historical and documentary importance used in the modern television and film depiction of cryptozoology.
All too often, once a television series is finished, believe it or not, items such as these are destroyed or dumped, without regard to their historical significance.
The International Cryptozoology Museum values the popular cultural worth and educational learning that can be generated by saving and exhibiting such items. We send out our thanks, deeply, to the great folks at Whitewolf Productions and MonsterQuest for their support of cryptozoology and their assistance in saving the history of the field.
