I imagine he out-lived most of his relatives and nobody knew to contact the existing Crypto groups. For all such researchers I can only hope someday *something* is discovered to justify all the time they spent. At times it looks discouraging, I think the best chance is seemingly the most improbable of them all: Bigfoot.
