Although I didn’t always think him right or agree with him quite a few times, we always came back to liking & respecting each other & had some great conversations & laughs over the course of 9 years. One of his big wishes was to visit my homeland after hearing about it from his uncle & we planned hikes & trips from afar. It’s never to be, but I’ll be raising a few glasses to Gerry whenever I see those landscapes for him & imagine him to be there. Slainte mhath, old pal.
